Privacy Policy
Puddly has no servers, no accounts and no cloud storage. Everything you type into it — your child’s name, every potty visit, every accident — is written to that phone and stays there. We could not read it if we wanted to.
What Puddly never collects
- Photos or video of your child. Puddly has no camera feature at all. This is not a setting you can turn on.
- Your child’s name or avatar. Stored on the device only, so the app can greet them. Never transmitted.
- The potty log. Every event, its time and its outcome — including accidents — is stored on the device only and never transmitted.
- Your account. There isn’t one. Puddly has no sign-up, no login and no password.
- Your location. Puddly never asks for it and never receives it.
- Contacts, calendar, microphone, or health data. Never requested.
What Puddly does send
Puddly uses Amplitude to measure how the app is used, so we know which parts help and which are ignored. These are events about the software, never about your child:
- Which screens were opened, and how long a session lasted.
- That a sticker was awarded, or a colouring page was printed — by our own internal ID for our own artwork.
- That a sticker pack was purchased, and its price.
- Your device model, operating system version and country, and a random identifier that is not linked to you or to any account.
We deliberately switch off the identifying parts of that SDK: no advertising identifier, no vendor identifier, no IP address, no city or region, no carrier. Nothing sent can be traced back to a person, and none of it describes your child. If a build ships without an analytics key, the SDK is never created and nothing at all is sent.
Amplitude acts as our data processor. Amplitude’s privacy policy.
Purchases
Sticker packs are one-time purchases handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We never see your card, your billing address or your store account. Restoring purchases asks the store what you already own; it does not involve us.
Notifications
The reminder is scheduled by your phone, locally. Puddly sends no push notifications from any server, because it has no server.
Sharing
When you share a progress card or a sticker, your phone’s own share sheet does the sending, to whoever you pick. Nothing is uploaded to us, and there is no link to a page we host.
Children
Puddly is designed for a parent or carer to use. It is not directed at children, is not published in Apple’s Kids Category, and collects no personal information from anybody — child or adult.
Deleting your data
Delete the app. Because the log lives only on the device, uninstalling removes it completely. There is no copy anywhere else and nothing for you to request from us.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
